Nostepinde - turned & polished wood ball winders
All Colinette Yarns come supplied in hanks and need to be wound into balls before knitting. If you find the thought of this tedious, or haven't access to a mechanical ball winder to speed things up, then the Nostepinde could be just what you're looking for. Originating in Scandinavia, and known by various names according to region, the Nostepinde is a remarkably quick and easy way of producing a neat, flat, centre-pull ball.
Our Nostepindes have been crafted by a local wood turner in a variety of woods, styles, and sizes. They have a smooth, waxed finish, which is easy to control.
